Microgreens-Infused Olive Oil
Microgreens-Infused Olive Oil: Ingredients:
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons powdered microgreens (such as basil, parsley, or cilantro)
Clean, dry glass bottle or jar with a tight-fitting lid
Instructions:
Make sure the glass bottle or jar is clean and dry.
Place the powdered microgreens into the bottle.
Warm the olive oil slightly, either by placing it in a microwave-safe container for a few seconds or by gently heating it in a pan. You don't want it to be hot, just slightly warm.
Pour the warmed olive oil over the powdered microgreens in the bottle.
Use a clean utensil (like a wooden chopstick) to gently stir the oil and microgreens, ensuring they are well combined.
Seal the bottle tightly with the lid.
Place the bottle in a cool, dark place to allow the flavors to infuse. Let it sit for about 1 to 2 weeks, shaking it gently every couple of days.
After the desired infusion time, strain out the powdered microgreens using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
Transfer the infused oil back into the clean bottle.
Label the bottle with the type of microgreens used and the date of infusion.
Store the microgreens-infused olive oil in a cool, dark place and use within a few months.
